Be Workforce Ready
HPTC career courses are designed for high school and adult students wanting to develop career and technical skills. High school juniors and/or seniors can attend class either during the morning from 8:00 am until 11:00 am or during the afternoon session from 12:35 pm to 3:55 pm. Adult students' schedule could vary and they may attend either during the morning session between 8:00 am and 11:20 am or the afternoon session between 12:35pm - 3:55pm or they may enroll in full day programs . Some variations in schedules are allowed due to coordination with a sending school.
To enroll in a daytime program at High Plains Technology Center, students should schedule a visit with the school counselor. Prospective students are asked to complete an application form and return the application to High Plains Technology Center. Admission applications for High School students and adult students are available at the Student Services offices or by calling the school counselor.
Testing for placement in daytime programs is coordinated by Amber Riley, Guidance Counselor at High Plains Technology Center at 580.571.6183.
Career programs are a great way to be workforce ready upon completion of one of our programs. Many programs have various certifications for students to obtain, letting prospective employers know that the student has been fully trained and ready to be a productive employee. Our real world work shops and training modules provide students hands on learning experiences.
Financial aid resources are available for adult students. HPTC has a full-time financial aid counselor available to discuss various options for funding career training. For more information click here or call Michelle Ketcherside at 580-571-6177.
